Tutoring for College Students with Studying Disabilities HomeThis is a featured page

From my middle school to college career, I needed to work two times as tough as the remaining portion of the students because I had a learning disability. The teachers and doctors by no means could exactly diagnose what disability I had but think it was a mild form of Attention Deficit Disorder or ADD. I would have to work and study harder than any person in my class just to get C+ range grades. Repeating was the important thing I would need to study repeatedly and over to retain the information. I often would need to rely on techniques to obtain the info to stick in my head.
It was constantly annoying having to work so difficult at obtaining info to stick in my head. Most of the other students in my high school and university lessons seemed to be performing fine and could memorize with out a issue. But correct around my junior year in high school I found the key to my success in school. It wasn't repeating the information over and over, it was having a tutor. Using a tutor allowed me to have a individual teacher in the room beside me that I could ask any questions. It also allowed my tutor to discover issues that worked for me and that didn't. The individual attention is what I required and allowed me to obtain much better grades. I was a little bit anxious about being forced to abandon my tutor when I left house for school.
When I got to college one of the very first things I did was to attempt to find a tutor for me because I realized I couldn't do with out one. I went to my professors also as the disability services creating and had little assist locating a tutor for my courses. Lastly following employing 1 of the on the internet tutor searching web sites I was able to discover a local tutor. Obtaining a tutor on the internet was great for me simply because I was able to read about the tutor before I began with him as well as read other people's reviews about him. As well as the best part about the entire thing was that he only charged $25 per hour. He was a lot less expensive than my high school math tutor.
My university tutor over time began to discover my strengths and weak points and areas that I necessary extra assist with. He also was able to determine the most effective way for me to understand with my studying disability. My college marks started to improve once more and I really ceased having to worry about failing out of college. Had I not been able to search for a learning disability tutor on-line, I possibly in no way would have found one.
